Salary:£24,570 - £25,935 * Per Year

Working Hours:37.5hrs-Monday to Friday 8.30-4.30pm

Location: Bromsgrove B60

School Staffing Solutions are recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant for a SEN school in Bromsgrove. This OUTSTANDING School has two locations and it is the Bromsgrove Site where this role is based.

This site caters to students aged 14 -19 with special educational needs, primarily related to Autism.

The school provides a safe, low-sensory environment alongside an ambitious curriculum that includes a range of GCSEs and enrichment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pupils with learning activities, adapting support to individual needs under teacher guidance.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development using trauma-informed approaches.
• Help manage behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct.
• Encourage pupil engagement and independence in learning tasks
• Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources.
• Support record-keeping and monitoring of pupil progress as directed.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly learning environment.

Requirements

• Relevant education or training; willingness to undertake further professional development.
• Experience supporting pupils in an educational or care setting.
• 2 years experience working with pupils with SEND and complex needs
• Awareness of safeguarding, behaviour management, and SEND principles.
• Ability to support teaching and learning effectively under supervision
• Commitment to professional conduct and safeguarding as per the Staff Code of Conduct.
• Patience, empathy, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
